REGULAR BOARD MEETING--AUGUST 9, 2010

Chairman Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.  Present: Fahey, Gundlach, Zweifel and Clerk Christen as well as 4 citizens.
Minutes approved from July meeting- motion Zweifel/ Gundlach.
Clerk Christen gave the treasurer's report from JoAnn Gruber-Hagen.  Balance at the end of July was $184,596.27.  Motion to approve Gundlach/Zweifel.
Announcements-
Chairman Fahey reported that the urgent fire department meeting was in regards to water drainage from the building due to the new construction of the roadway in and around the building.  The board decided no change would be made.
Citizen Input-
Stacy Heller inquired as to when the roadbanks would be mowed again.  Alton responded not until after Labor Day.  She also asked if the Village of Belleville had asked for any money to support the lake restoration.  Chairman Fahey responded no and he also gave a brief update as to the recent meeting that had taken place in Belleville with respect to the improvements.
Committee Update-
Supervisor Gundlach, member of the Park Committee updated the board on the events being planned for the 3rd Annual Exeter Park Open House.  A meeting to finalize all details will be held on August 31 at 7 PM.
Sunset Ridge Road-
Chairman Fahey read the letter that was received that day from Town Attorney Jeff Clark.  Attorney Clark had reviewed the documents and minutes in regards to the acquisition of Sunset Ridge Road as a public road.  Attorney Clark does not support the acquisition and advised the board as well.
The board discussed the letter in detail and requested the clerk to send a letter in response to Attorney Clark's letter and the decision of the board to deny approval of the road as a public road.
Motion to accept the Attorneys recommendation made by Gundlach/ Zweifel.  
Road projects- J & J Development and A. J. Investments-
Chairman Fahey updated the board that the clerk had received the signed bids from the accepted contractors and that work would commence the 2nd week of September to be completed by October 2010.  He stated the contractor was in conversation with the town engineer in regard to the blacktop to be used.  The State of Wisconsin had recently changed their coding process of the blacktop used for roads.  The exact type to be used was to be determined yet.
Salt Shed-
Chairman Fahey will be getting the necessary paperwork in line for signing to support the addition of the salt shed loan to our general operating loan with Belleville Community Bank.
Bills-
Motion to approve bills - Zweifel/ Gundlach.
Adjourn-
Motion Gundlach/ Zweifel, adjourned at 8:15 PM.
